Several years have passed since the destruction of Romulus and Remus. The shockwave has reached across the stars, with shifts in power and political ramifications the likes of which the Federation has not seen in some time. All is far from peaceful in the corners of the galaxy.
Though exploration remains Starfleet's primary mandate, growing turmoil has led to splinters of discontent. New enemies are taking the opportunity to seize control of contested areas.
