Mission: Into the Unknown
Location: USS Ontario

Scott Kayne walked down the corridor to the turbolift. He had just finished settling in to his quarters and now it was time to report to the captain. Scotty Kayne hadn't seen Captain Michaels for quite some time. He was excited to be working under such a great man once again. he arrived at the bridge and walked straight over to the Captain's ready room, and rung the doorbell.

"Please come in." Elijah responded to the door chime. In some ways it seemed like his dau was spent in here rather than the Bridge.

Scott Stepped through the doors and presented himself, "Lieutenant Scott Kayne Reporting for duty, Captain," he said, almost with a full smile. "It's good to see you again, sir."

“Welcome to the Ontario Lieutenant it’s good to see you again as well.” Elijah smiled at the Helsman.

"I see you've been taking care of yourself, sir," the helmsman said, "How's life out here treating you?"

“It’s been steady, taking an Ambassador Class Starship on a surveying mission for 9 months and cartographing stellar phenomena is only marginally exciting.”

Scott smiled, "I can imagine," He then adjusted his uniform, "Anyone else from the old gang along for the ride or just me?" he asked.

"Just you it would seem Scotty." Elijah responded to him. "This old girl needs a skilled hand."

"Happy to provide my services, sir," He smiled, "It'll be just like old times."

"Absolutely." Elijah responded with a nod. "You've got Quarters assigned, as well as a Department to oversee but I think you can handle it."

"Always sir," The helmsman adjusted his uniform once more, "It's good to be back, sir. Permission to resume my duties as your helmsman?"

"Permission granted." Elijah responded to him as he handed him his PADD. "All signed off and ready to go." He said politely to him.

Kayne took the PADD, turned around, but stopped at the door, "It's good to be back, sir."

With a smile Elijah watched him leave. He was pleased that he had another friendly face on the Ontario with him.
